Build confidence and a strong body with personal and strength training

Every person who walks through the door is different. That's why every programme starts with understanding where you are now, what you'd like to achieve and how I can best help you get there.

What are your goals?

Do you want to:
  • Become stronger or build muscle
  • Improve your fitness or move more freely
  • Learn to lift weights safely
  • Return to exercise after injury
  • Prepare for sport, a holiday or another personal goal
...or maybe you simply want to feel more confident in your own body and enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle.

It all starts with a conversation

We'll talk about:
  • You
  • How your body moves
  • Your current fitness and strength
  • Previous injuries or limitations
  • What's holding you back
From there, we'll build a programme that's right for you. Where you start doesn't matter. You just need to start.

Training for Women

Build strength for every stage of life.
Strength training is important for women at every stage of life, helping maintain muscle, bone strength and independence. One-to-one coaching gives you the guidance to train safely, build confidence and stay active.

Training for Men

Stay active. Stay strong.
Many men come to me because they want more structure, more strength and a place to train that isn't built around gym culture. Personal coaching gives you the guidance and confidence to keep moving well.

Training for Youth

building strong foundations.
strength training helps adolescents and young athletes help develop good movement patterns, coordination and safe lifting techniques which support physical development, confidence and sporting goals.

Returning After Injury

Start slowly and build from there.
Returning to exercise after injury can be a positive experience. Together we'll rebuild strength, movement and confidence step by step, with a programme tailored to your recovery and goals.

Challenge what you think is possible

It's easy to tell yourself:
  • "I've never been good at exercise."
  • "I'm too old."
  • "I could never lift weights."
However, you might be surprised by what you can achieve.

Frequently asked questions for Personal & Strength Training

You don't have to be. Many clients choose personal training because they want guidance without the pressure of a busy commercial gym. The studio is welcoming, supportive and designed for everyday people who simply want to become stronger and feel better. You may even find you want to join in some of our group fitness classes in time.

Absolutely. One-to-one training is an ideal place to learn. You'll start at an appropriate level and build technique, strength and confidence progressively.

No. Your starting point simply determines where the programme begins. Training is adapted to your current strength, mobility, experience and goals.

There isn't one answer for everyone. Three to four training sessions a week can be a useful goal for some people, but Suzie will help you find a routine that fits your lifestyle and is realistic to maintain.

Often, yes, once you're ready to return to exercise. Training can be adapted around previous injuries or limitations and, where required, follow guidance from your physiotherapist, doctor or other healthcare professional.

Not on day one. The aim is to progressively challenge your body as your technique, confidence and strength improve. What counts as "heavy" is different for everyone.

I can offer general guidance around eating and training, including timing meals around your natural routine. The focus is on finding practical habits that work for you rather than prescribing a rigid way of eating.
